Rates for lacquer mastering, reference disks and dubplates are based upon your supplied audio source and will be transferred directly to the lacquer disk with no additional session work. This is referred to as a "flat cut." If mastering services are requested prior to disk cutting, then the session rates will apply. After the mastering session, the in-house disk cutting rates will apply. Sound Affair Mastering recommends a reference disk of your project which can be reviewed in your own listening environment.
This is the best option to gauge how your audio source will translate to the vinyl format. This would include volume level for the disc, band spacing from track to track, high and low frequency response etc.
